Release an album as an NFT on SentX

Prepare an album NFT on SentX. Upload tracks, choose public and gated audio, review the release settings and costs, then check the listener experience.

Prepare the recordings, decide what visitors can hear and choose how collectors will own copies. The album builder brings those choices together before the release is published.

Start with the finished audio and artwork you have the rights to release. Keep the original masters and a record of credits and permissions. The album workflow needs an eligible empty collection and supports one album per collection.

Open the album builder

Connect the account you intend to use for the release and open the album builder in the creator tools. Check that the account is the one you want associated with the project.

Choose a release title that listeners will recognize. A single, EP or album can each be described clearly without adding NFT terminology to every track name.

Add the recordings and cover

Review the Rights section and confirm I own or control these recordings yourself before uploading. Under Tracks, choose Choose audio files. Check the track titles, order and artwork after processing.

The builder accepts MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC and AIFF. The current preview processor supports MP3, WAV, AAC and AIFF; FLAC and M4A do not receive a generated preview. Listen to the prepared audio and check each actual preview. A track with no preview needs another way for listeners to understand what they are buying.

Result

  • You should now see the intended track list and cover in the builder.

Choose public and gated tracks

Choose which tracks anyone can play and which require ownership of a copy. A public lead track can give listeners a complete introduction to the release.

Review this choice carefully. In the current album workflow, a track made Public cannot be gated again. Gating controls delivery through the service; it is not audio copy protection.

Result

  • You should now be able to describe exactly what a visitor and an owner each receive.

Review copies and royalties

Under Ready to release, choose the eligible collection in Collection the copies mint into and enter Copies to press. Review royalty settings through the collection workflow; they are not a royalty control in the album builder. Read the supply choices before creating a collection and do not announce future extra copies without checking its actual configuration.

A creator royalty is separate from the first-sale price. Hedera's custom-fee rules determine assessment on applicable transfers. Read the royalty guide.

Review the costs and publish

Check the storage, token creation and copy-creation charges presented by the workflow. Read each quote before approval and keep the operation references.

Choose Publish this release after reviewing What this release costs. Publishing queues the copies; it does not itself mint the NFT serials.

Mint the copies and check the release

Use Mint your copies after publication and review the confirmations. Check the resulting serials only after the mint operation succeeds.

Open the public album page and check its title, cover, track order, previews and purchase information from a visitor's view. Check owner access using an account with an existing copy. Ownership-based access cannot retrieve files already downloaded by a former holder.

If processing or publication stops

Inspect the original operation and any payment before retrying it. A prepared audio file, created token and minted copy are separate results. Share their references with support so the unresolved stage can be checked.
