Launch a collection you have already minted

Sell NFTs you have already minted through the SentX launchpad. They stay in your wallet: authorize minting once, check the pool and keep reserved serials out.

You do not send your NFTs to SentX. They stay in your minting wallet, and each one leaves it only when a collector mints it. SentX needs permission to make that transfer, and you give it once for the whole collection.

What you need

Step 1: Choose the minting wallet

Open the launch and find Minting Wallet. Pick the wallet that holds the NFTs: usually the treasury, or one of the wallets under Manage authorized wallets.

The minting wallet is stored on the collection, so every launch of this collection uses the same one. If the field warns that the wallet holds none of the collection's NFTs, it also names the wallet that does. Pick that one.

Step 2: Authorize minting

Connect to SentX with the minting wallet itself, open the launch and select Authorize minting. Your wallet asks you to sign one NFT allowance. It covers every serial of this token, not one serial at a time, and names a SentX launchpad account as the spender. Nothing moves when you sign it.

Before you sign, Technical details under the banner shows the minting wallet and the launchpad spender, if you want to check them on HashScan.

  • The allowance has to come from the wallet that holds the NFTs. Signed from any other wallet, it goes through on Hedera but enables nothing.
  • If the treasury key is kept offline, open Treasury signs offline. It lists the token, owner and spender, and the approval to sign with that key. Submit it to Hedera, then select Check now.
  • If you change the minting wallet, authorize again from the new one.
  • If the allowance is removed later, the banner asks you to Re-authorize. Until you do, mints are refused before the mint price is taken.

You should now see

  • The banner reads Minting is authorized.

Step 3: Check the pool

A launch sells from its pool: the serials the minting wallet held when the launch last read it. The first save of a launch reads the wallet for you. On the launch card, NFTs available shows the count; View & manage lists every serial in the pool.

If NFTs move into or out of the minting wallet after that, select Reindex in the same list so the pool matches the wallet again.

Each mint also checks that the wallet still holds the serial it picked. A serial that has left the wallet is skipped and another one is picked.

You should now see

  • The count under NFTs available matches the number you mean to sell.

Step 4: Keep reserved serials out

Every serial in the minting wallet is for sale, including the ones you meant to keep for the team, giveaways or a later drop. Move those to another wallet, then select Reindex.

To take a few serials out without moving them, select them in the list and choose Remove from pool. This lasts until the next Reindex, so check the list again after one.

What happens when a collector mints

  • The launch picks a random serial from the pool.
  • SentX moves it from your minting wallet to the collector in the same Hedera transaction as the payment. Both happen, or neither does.
  • Your wallet signs nothing at mint time. The allowance from step 2 covers the transfer.
  • With Hide NFT from user when minting on, the collector sees which serial they got after the mint, not before.
  • Unminted NFTs stay in your minting wallet.

If you plan to update metadata

Make metadata updates before the launch reads the pool. The launch keeps the name and image it first read for each serial, and a Reindex does not replace them.

Marketplace pages show an update once a refresh reads it. How SentX shows an update lists the refresh options and how images are cached.

Before you publish

Go through this list, then publish the stages. Whitelists and stages has the launch-day checklist.

Check that

  • Minting Wallet is the wallet that holds the NFTs.
  • The banner reads Minting is authorized.
  • The pool count matches what you mean to sell.
  • Reserved serials are in another wallet, or removed from the pool.
  • No serial in the minting wallet is listed on the marketplace.
