Import an existing Hedera NFT collection

Bring an existing Hedera NFT collection into DreamForge using its token ID. Understand the difference between importing records and controlling token keys.

Use DreamForge's collection import when the token already exists on Hedera. Enter the collection's token ID so the tool can identify it. Importing the collection is different from uploading a folder of artwork and JSON.

Step 1: Find the collection token ID

Copy the token ID from the collection's verified record. Do not enter a wallet account ID. Both can look like 0.0.1234567, but they identify different entities.

Check the network and confirm that this is the collection you intend to manage.

Step 2: Open the collection import

In DreamForge, open Import an existing NFT collection and enter its Token ID. Follow the displayed checks and review the collection information returned.

The collection name alone is not enough. Match the returned token ID to the one you selected.

Step 3: Check what you can manage

Importing records does not grant every token permission. Minting, metadata updates and other operations require the authority configured for that token.

If a step discusses token keys, distinguish them from the private key or recovery phrase of your wallet. Do not provide a wallet recovery phrase to import a collection.

Read the token-key guide before changing how authority is held.

Step 4: Open the imported collection

Use Open collection to inspect it or Check collection status to review the state shown by DreamForge. If your next task is a collector release, follow Continue to launch when offered.

Check the existing NFTs and available operations before preparing new work. An imported collection is not automatically a new mint or a published launch.

If the result is unclear

Keep the token ID and the message shown by the import screen. Ask SentX support about the specific missing capability rather than creating a duplicate collection as a workaround.

Plan a collection launch.
