Sofia is a native born Tursi woman who came from simple beginnings but created a meaningful life for herself. After losing both of her parents at a young age instead of giving up Sofia expanded her family's rug shop into many. Over the years she slowly built a financial empire for herself and became a well respected person among the women of Tursim. Then in her mid twenties she married Bez Masudo, an Am'ayim ship captain, becoming his third wife and taking the Masudo family name. Now as the societal upheaval in Tursim comes to a head Sofia has found herself in a position of leadership among Tursi women.
